The Friends of the Aiken County Historical Museum is a non-profit organization whose purpose is the advancement of the study and the appreciation of local history through promotion and financial support of the operations and activities of the museum.
We need your help to enable the museum to better preserve the county's unique history. By becoming a Friend of the Museum, you will be helping the growth and development of what has been described as the finest small museum in the state. The privileges of membership include: a 10% discount at the Museum Store, receipt of the quarterly newsletter, Banksia Columns, invitations to special members-only events, and voting privileges at the Friends' annual meeting.Support the Museum through memberships and serve in various volunteer functions.

The Friends of the Aiken County Historical Museum Annual Lecture Series In 2003 The Friends began sponsoring a five session lecture series which is held annually in January and February at the Museum. In even numbered years the series provides an overview of the history of Aiken County, from the earliest inhabitants to the current time. In odd numbered years the series entails a variety of "snapshots" of Aiken County history going into depth on a specific historical subject.
